The Taliban Two Step, Why Fools Should Not Run the Country

According to the White House it is alright to swap prisoners with the Taliban because the Taliban is not considered a terrorist group. Wait? What?

eric_schultzThat’s what the deputy press secretary Eric Schultz argued with ABC’s John Karl. During the exchange Karl asked whether the Jordanian government’s trade with the Islamic State was similar to the United States trading five Taliban members for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

The foolish reply of Schultz makes it clear that having Obama in charge of anything is just a bad idea.

“As you know, this was highly discussed at the time and prisoner swaps are a traditional end-of-conflict interaction that happens,” Mr. Schultz said. “As the war in Afghanistan wound down, we felt like it was the appropriate thing to do. The president’s bedrock commitment as commander in chief is to leave no man or woman behind. That’s the principle he was operating under.”

“Isn’t that what the Jordanians are operating under?” the ABC reporter argued. “The Taliban are still conducting terror attacks, so you can’t really say the war has ended as far as they’re concerned.”

Mr. Schultz explained: “I would also point out that the Taliban is an armed insurgency. [Islamic State] is a terrorist group. So we don’t make concessions to terrorist groups.”

“You don’t think the Taliban’s a terrorist group?” Mr. Karl interjected.

“I don’t think that the Taliban — the Taliban is an armed insurgency,” Mr. Schultz corrected. “This was the winding down of the war in Afghanistan, and that’s why this arrangement was dealt.”

This is what happens when we no longer teach our citizens biblical principles and allow such dependency on the government, we elect fools to lead our country.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7

I don’t use such language loosely. A fool in Proverbs is a person who fails to recognize Godly wisdom. The fool also fails to correctly identify evil and oppose it.

A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but to turn away from evil is an abomination to fools. Proverbs 13:19

One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless. Proverbs 14:16

Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool, but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding. Proverbs 10:23

The fact is that we have allowed foolish people to run the country and after 6 years the results are devastating. The president is obviously trying to downplay the role of Islam in world terrorism and does not desire to challenge evil.

As I have said before the president is sympathetic to Islam even if his words say otherwise. He does not wish to challenge the evil that rises from within Islam regardless of what they do. He prefers instead to treat the evil terrorist acts as if they were individual crimes and not the coordinated attacks that they are.
