Wrestling With the Spirit of Islam

Following the attacks in France on the staff at Charlie Hebdo and the massacre of Nigerians by Boko Haram the Obama administration is having trouble describing the problem of Islamic violence.

Spirit of IslamMr. Obama and his staff cannot even bring themselves to use the current politically correct term Islamic extremist.

Even when mainstream Muslim imam Anjem Choudary declares a state of war with Charlie Hebdo and France, it is dismissed as extremism and a warping of a peaceful religion.

In an open letter released after the slaying of 17 people in France the imam of Islam stated:

“Contrary to popular misconception, Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people’s desires.”

He went on to demand that Western societies be “sensible and sensitive to the emotions and the feelings of the Muslims”, and accused governments of refusing to “nip it in the bud”. In other words, Western societies must submit to the dictates of Islam. There are no other options.

The atrocities of the French and Nigerian massacres have been praised by leaders of Al-Queda and the Islamic State, there is very little actual push back from main stream Islam outside the Middle East. It should be understood that the vast majority of Muslims agree with the statements of Anjem Choudary either openly or privately.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.-Ephesians 6:12

The reason the world and particularly the Obama administration has a blind spot for Islam is a spiritual matter. President Obama grew up immersed in the teachings of Islam and the people of Indonesia. Regardless of weather the president self identifies as Christian or Muslim, his formative years were marked by the indoctrination of Islamic thought and practice.

I want to be clear. Islam is a religion of the antichrist.

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. -1 John 2:22

I have no hatred for the Muslim people, in fact I pray the Lord reveal the truth to them. I am not afraid of Islam. This is not Islamaphobia, which is just a made up word to shame critics.

It is not hate speech to describe Islam as antichrist for it is very much against Jesus Christ when identified as the Son of God. Just ask a Muslim, they will tell you that god has no son. What I describe is in fact true.

Where does that leave us?

It would be impractical to drive out the Muslims from the European and American nations. Muslims have in fact embedded themselves though out our country and some very tough decisions must be made regarding the “no-go zones” where police fear to go. That is another article.

We are left with just ‘we the people’. We are left with a personal choice with national implications.

To we allow are hearts, our very spirits to continue to grow cold. Abandoning the faith of our fathers. Leaving behind the salvation of Jesus Christ. Choosing to allow the darkness to swallow us whole like a bad episode of Star Trek featuring the borg.

After all, the only way to win a spiritual war is with the all powerful Spirit of God. There is no other way to overcome the enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy.

I believe we are nearing the close of this age. That the opening of the seals of Revelation are not far in the future even from our perspective. I do believe there is still opportunity to embrace a relationship with God and refuse the mark of the beast. We must take instead the mark of God. There is hope and there is salvation in Jesus Christ.
