Our hearts break for the loss of life and those injured in Colorado just after midnight Friday morning. A gunman using tear gas began senselessly but systematically taking lives during the showing of a batman movie. This is a time when we should morn with those who morn. I would like to point out that it was not the gun that killed these people, but the young man behind the gun.
The bible tells us that the human heart is deceitfully wicked, it is full of sin and is capable of great darkness. Until we recognize the true nature of sinful men we cannot even begin to solve such problems. We will hear more calls for gun control and security, while that has its place, nothing but the Spirit of God can change the heart of man. We can use more than guns to kill, the weapon is irrelevant.
