A new study shows that America is more dependent on its government than it has been since Jimmy Carter was president. The new study conducted by the Heritage Foundation shows that from food to housing to health care to education, where Americans used to turn to local organizations and families, they now depend on government by more than 23%. That is the largest increase since the 70’s and it has all happened in just the last 3 years.
The bible clearly teaches that we are to turn to the Lord for our needs. Jesus even put it in the Lord’s prayer when He taught us to ask our Father in heaven for our daily bread. It is always the goal of the enemy to shift our reliance from God to something else. The United States government has become dangerously bloated and its citizens rely on it in ways they cannot perceive. Our government was never intended to provide our needs yet we see this mindset worldwide. It is after all the goal of the enemy.
