A Pledge to Mexico by US Students

A high school Spanish class in the border town of McAllen, Texas is forcing it’s students to recite the Mexican pledge of allegiance and the national anthem. Each student was required by their teacher, Mexican national, Reyna Santos, to wear the Mexican national colors of white, red and green while making the recitations individually. This all occurred during freedom week, the anniversary of 911 and Constitution day, when Americans are to honor the constitution of the United States.

The book of Numbers tells us that when we take an oath we are obligated to keep our word. Just why an American school is teaching American children to recite the pledge of a foreign nation, I don’t know. In fact, there are those in our country who do not want us to recite the American pledge in American schools. To whom do we owe our allegiance?
