President Barack Obama is pushing for the passage of his jobs bill, but he is being blocked by fellow democrat, and leader of the Senate, Harry Reid while the president blames republicans. What is at stake is a greater tax on the rich. Senate democrats continue to demand a surcharge of 5%(more, if they can get it) on millionaires in an effort to avoid any significant spending cuts. The mantra continues that the rich should pay their fair share.
The bible tells us that desiring and wanting to take what belongs to others is wrong. In fact, coveting and stealing both make it onto the Lord’s top ten list. What is at stake for everyday Americans is the idea that when we work, what we earn is ours. Another biblical principle is that a man should work with his own hands and steal no more. This truth should be taught to congress.
