Protesters continue to gather in New York and other cities including Albuquerque. What are they protesting? Many are not sure. They are coming out against corporations and supposedly standing up for the working man. The problem is that the very things that they are marching in support of are bringing the oppression they want to stop. The protests are not peaceful like the tea party protests and are seeing many arrests. Ultimately, we must ask who is behind these protests without a clear purpose or vision.
The bible tells us that the people perish for the lack of a vision. This is not just any vision, but the sight brought by the Lord through scripture. These young and not so young protesters do not understand why they march, they only know that something is wrong. Without an understanding of a biblical worldview there is no direction and really no purpose. It is time to ask Jesus for eye salve.
