Saudi Arabia is using its wealth, acquired by United States and world oil consumption, to fund the Palestinian Authority and its government. The PA has been unable to make government payroll and other obligations, so the Saudi finance minister has authorized the release of some $200 million in funds to stabilize the government ahead of its request to the UN to become a state. While Turkey is the driving force behind the scenes of the Arab spring, it is Saudi Arabia that holds the purse strings.
As I have stated before, the bible clearly lays out the players involved in the last days, when you read the book of Ezra you find a blueprint for what we are seeing today. There will remain a people that struggles with Israel and they will be funded and supported by outside kingdoms to commit violence, the Hebrew word hamas.
