Defense Secretary Robert Gates has told American troops serving in Afghanistan they must live with the fact that gays will soon be able to serve openly in the military of the United States. When asked by a US marine if enlisted
members would be able to separate from the service, because the service radically changed its moral code of ethics, Gates told the marine, no they would not.
From Leviticus 19 to many passages in the New Testament,the bible is clear that homosexuality is what it calls, an abomination. I do not condone the poor treatment of anyone, however, I am opposed to using our military for social engineering. While homosexuality is immoral, God loves them asking that they stop their self-destructive behavior. We should ask the same of our government and military.
